We offer a fully bespoke design service, tailored to each client. At the initial meeting we will discuss how you intend to use the garden, your budget, style and materials and will use this to put together a design for you that meets your specific requirements.

Creative and interesting planting combinations are something we pride ourselves on. We are firm believers in the mantra "Right plant right place". Check our blog for our monthly favourites.

Once your project has been completed we offer a maintenance service to whatever level is required by the client, using our experience to nurture the valuable investment you have chosen to make in having your garden or outside space landscaped.

Design for living

A Mill House garden that once belonged to a botanist, who planted some wonderful specimen trees in the early 1900’s. The brief was for a wild garden with an element of control, the aim was to keep the wonderful sense of place that the garden had but within that design something unique and manageable.

Mayfair Town House Terraces

Two terraces in a large private residence in Mayfair, completed for Katharine Pooley Ltd. Focusing on a light and airy feel, low-maintenace evergreen plants and soothing colour palette.

Outdoor Entertaining

The courtyard between the main house and outbuilding was completely bare and needed some aesthetic appeal. The client wanted it to be more inviting and to be able to use it as a dining and entertainment  space. The addition of a geometric parterre, delineated with darker bricks gave some uniformity to the asymmetric shape of the area, the use of evergreen hedging for year round greenery and flat top standard hornbeams to give a feeling of shelter, made it altogether a more inviting space.

A simple transformation

The addition of a vistagreen wall to the outdoor space of a London townhouse instantly gave an individual and contemporary lift to the garden, done for Katharine Pooley Ltd.

Design for entertainment

A spacious Barn Gardens. Designed for entertaining friends and family, divided into 3 distinct planting areas, a colourful private back garden, a large and inviting dining terrace flanked with magnolias and a more tonally planted cobbled entrance area.

This light and airy garden situated on the Grand Union Canal was transformed with the use of rhythmic planting to soften the long and narrow passageway to the main terrace. A bespoke daybed was added, a limed composite deck lain laterally also increased the feeling of space. A neutral colour palette in the plants and paint was used to compliment the deck.

A Full Transformation

This large garden needed a large amount care and attention, with an awkward wrap around U-shape garden, the spaces needed to be defined whilst still relating to the the building itself.  Large 4m evergreen yew obelisks were used to punctuate boundaries, which inspired the use of buxus balls to perform similar functions at the front and rear of the property. A paddock field was turned into a wildflower meadow, which was contained within geometric beds, creating pleasant vistas in a nod to the architecture and heritage of the property.   A copse was turned into a woodland walk, with a living willow hut and willow animal sculptures.

A Knightsbridge Roof Terrace rejuvenated.

A terrace in the heart of London, done for Katharine Pooley Ltd, designed to be an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Focusing on natural materials, scented plants and soft colour palette.

Scented Garden

A small garden in the heart of Fulham, focusing on scented plants, benefitted from the addition of some antiqued mirrors to dramatically increase the feeling of space and light. Contemporary natural slatted trellis gave a modern feel and acts as a frame for the star Jasmine. Artificial grass was used to make it feel more vibrant.

Houseboat Garden

A unique deck garden, in a picturesque setting on the banks of the Thames. Focusing on textural evergreen grasses and bee friendly planting. With such a fantastic view it was important not to detract from it, so the use of Verbena bonariensis provided a sense of enclosure whilst keeping the outlook unobstructed. The planters were handmade from the client's own oak trees in Sussex to add a great personal touch.
